  1. I cannot log-in to Sundial. I receive a message that says "invalid password."

Anyone with a valid UNI can log-in to Sundial. Please ensure that you have appropriately capitalized your password, and that you are using the password associated with your UNI (not the one associated with your Exchange account). If you continue to experience difficulty, please visit http://uni.columbia.edu for password support.

  2. When I log-in to Sundial, I do not see an "Add Event" button.

If you do not see a yellow "Add Event" button towards the top of the screen, this means that either you do not have a Sundial account or your account has been set-up incorrectly. If you have a departmental Sundial administrator, please contact that person directly. Otherwise, contact the Sundial support team by utilizing the "Request Support" button in Sundial. Please inform the Sundial team of your departmental affiliation when requesting support.

  7. Does my event have a custom URL? If so, where can I find it?

A custom URL is generated for each event. You can find this URL next to the "view event" button on the "Edit Event" page. Please note: you must grant "view event" permissions to the "public/everyone" group or publish the event to a calendar in order for this URL to work.

  8. When I go to my event's URL, I get an error message. Why doesn't this URL work?

Most likely, you have not granted "view event" permissions to "public/everyone" for your event. Under the "Edit Event" tab, select the yellow "permissions" tab. Find the "public/everyone" group, check the "view event" box, and then click "save selected." If your URL is still not working, email sundial-help@columbia.edu with the Event ID # and the text of the error message.
